Publications and Patents

Recent publications are primarily in the role of producing custom scientific tools.

Older publications include more personal research such as PhD thesis research.

Patents are either by Brian personally or projects where he contributed significantly to the invention.

A wearable device for continuous monitoring of circulating cells at single-cell resolution

In this project, Brian helped Kyuho from Prof Deblina Sarkar’s lab to integrate a high precision optical sensor with a wireless monitoring device. Brian mostly assisted with systems engineering and the SiPM (silicon photomultiplier) device which is an array of photodiodes used to produce very high sensitivity to even single photons, as well as the PCB design for their sensor.
