Publications and Patents

Recent publications are primarily in the role of producing custom scientific tools.
Older publications include more personal research such as PhD thesis research.
Patents are either by Brian personally or are projects where he contributed significantly to the invention.

On-chip broadband high-resolution digital Fourier transform spectrometer

In this project, Brian Neltner designed and assembled a high resolution amplifier and sensor for setting heater voltages and measuring photocurrents in order to measure the light intensity reaching a single photodiode for each binary combination of heaters. Maarten’s algorithm was able to then convert this discrete data for each heater voltage combination to calculate the overall spectrogram.
